Volunteer Sign Up for The 2021 Milwaukee Hip Hop Architecture Camp

The Milwaukee Hip Hop Architecture Camp will take place each Saturday during the month of February and we are looking for volunteers! Do you want to help the next generation of architects, designers, and urban planners travel across Africa using virtual reality then come home to Milwaukee and create a unique project in their neighborhood? Do you want to help our participants create a rap abut their project? Maybe you want to help our participants use PowerPoint or Google Slides to to create a final presentation of their project.

There’s no need to be a hip hop genius! We will make sure to add you in a place that is most beneficial to our participants and your skill set.

During the Hip Hop Architecture Camp, participants are invited to join us during optional "Office Hours" which we call Cypher sessions! During these sessions participants pre-select areas they need help and are placed in break out rooms during zoom calls with Hip Hop Architecture Camp staff supported by volunteers! Please pick dates and times which most align with your skill set. You can select more than 1.

Session 1 - February 10, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Lead participants through a design thinking discussion to discover a project theme to be created during the camp.

Session 1 - February 10, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist participants in writing a rap summarizing their project theme

Session 2 - February 17, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist students with creating a 3D model using Autodesk Tinkercad. This break out session is typically reserved for people in the design industry.

Session 2 - February 17, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist participants in writing a rap summarizing their project theme

Session 2 - February 17, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Provide general feedback on participant's project progress.

Session 3 - February 24, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist students with creating a 3D model using Autodesk Tinkercad. This break out session is typically reserved for people in the design industry.

Session 3- February 24, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist participants in writing a rap summarizing their project theme

Session 3 - February 24, 2021 - 5pm - 7pm - Assist participants in using Microsoft Powerpoint or Google Slides to generate a final presentation of their project.
